Privacy policy
Draft. Written with the app's design, not by a lawyer. Fill in every part in square brackets and have it reviewed before launch.
Changed on October 12, 2026, because accounts and sync ship at launch: the short version and sections 2, 3, 5 and 7 now cover the account, sync, signing out and deleting an account. New brackets: [DELETE ACCOUNT PAGE], [BACKUP DAYS], and one bracketed sentence in section 5 that stays only if the server must keep an IP address and a user agent.

- Your habits stay on your phone, unless you turn on sync.
- No account needed, no ads, no tracking.
- If you buy Pro, the store handles the payment.
01Who we are
Low Bar is made by [COMPANY NAME], [ADDRESS]. Questions about privacy go to contact@lowbarhabittracker.app.
02What stays on your phone
Your habits, your ticks, your bad days and your settings are stored on your phone, and nowhere else unless you turn on sync (section 5). Without sync we cannot see them.
If your phone backs up app data to your Google or Apple account, Low Bar's data is part of that backup, under their terms.
03What leaves your phone, and when
A purchase. Google Play or the App Store takes the payment. A service called RevenueCat tells the app whether Pro is active. It receives a random ID for your install and your Low Bar purchases. If you turn on sync, it is also given your Low Bar account's ID, and tells our server whether that account has Pro. We never see your card.
Sync. If you turn it on, your account and a copy of your habits are kept on our servers, as section 5 says.
A crash. If the app crashes it sends a technical report: the app version, your phone model and system version, and what went wrong. No habit names.
Feedback. If you send feedback we receive what you wrote, your email address if you gave one, and the app version and phone model if you left that switched on.
An export. Export makes a file and hands it to the app you pick. Where it goes after that is up to you.
The website. If you join the waiting list on lowbarhabittracker.app, we keep your email address until you ask us to remove it.
04What we don't do
No ads. No selling or sharing of personal data. No analytics that follow you from app to app.
05Sync
Sync is part of Pro. It is off until you turn it on, and turning it on means signing in with Apple or Google.
Then we keep, on our servers in [SERVER COUNTRY]: your account, which is the name and email address Apple or Google gives us (Apple may give an address that forwards to yours), the ID Apple or Google uses for you, so we can find your account when you sign in again, and whether your account has Pro; and a copy of your habits, ticks, bad days, categories and settings, so your other phones can fetch them. We use them for sync and for nothing else. Sign-in keeps a session token on the server until you sign out or it expires. [ONLY IF KEPT: Your IP address and your phone's user agent are kept with your session until you sign out or it expires.]
Signing out stops sync on that phone, and you choose whether your habits stay on it or are removed from it. If Pro ends, sync stops, and the copy stays until you delete your account.
You can delete your account in the app, under Account on More, or ask for it at [DELETE ACCOUNT PAGE]. The account, its copy and RevenueCat's record of it are deleted at once, and leave our backups within [BACKUP DAYS] days. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription: that is done in your store account, and the app links to it.
06Children
Low Bar is not directed at children under [AGE], and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
07Your choices
Delete the app and its data is gone from your phone. If you turned on sync, delete your account too, as section 5 says.
To have feedback, crash reports or a waiting-list address removed, or to ask what we hold about you, write to contact@lowbarhabittracker.app. If you live in the EU or the UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
08Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will say so before the change takes effect.
